Roger was arrested several times, addicted to drugs, had several near-death experiences, was a thief, and eventually homeless. No better way to celebrate my 300th episode than to have my friend Dave Durocher drop some truth on us! Dave was arrested for the first time at the age of 13. By the time he was 38, he had been to prison four times for a total of 15 years. Dave shares the story of when he was given the chance to change his life, and how he could never have imagined what the future had in store for him. He describes the power of whole person change and how that is what success really looks like.
When Dave was given the option to go to Delancey Street in Los Angeles, he was facing 29 years in prison. Dave was at Delancey Street for 8 years and became the Managing Director of their 250-person Los Angeles facility for the last 5 of those years. He is now devoting his life to creating a place where the most lost among us can come to learn about integrity, honesty, hard work, and self-respect.

From Utah and Mady is the youngest (and only girl) of 5. She served in the New Hampshire, Manchester Mission, graduated from BYU with a BA in Communications (Public Relations Emphasis), and currently works in Finance at Qualtrics and teaches High Fitness at Vasa on the side. Mady is passionate about health and fitness and gained a special love and appreciation for her body through struggling with disordered eating several years ago. She loves doing anything active, reading books, eating ice cream, and spending time with her friends!

Annie Rees Whitlock
Annie is from Utah and also spent a few years living on the east coast. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oklahoma City for a year and a half. She attended Brigham Young University where she helped create and lead the Women in Entrepreneurship program and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2020. For the last couple of years, she has been working at Kenect in software sales as an account executive. Annie got married this last summer to her best friend Brenden. In her free time, you can find her hiking in the mountains, watching movies with her husband, reading a book, or playing with her nieces and nephews.

Kenidee Sylvester Marx
Kenidee is currently a student at Utah Valley University studying Psychology. She recently got married in August this year and is loving life with her husband! Before getting married she was living with her best friends and enjoying that phase of life. Back in 2020 she started her recovery with an eating disorder and was also diagnosed with bipolar depression. Kenidee has become more confident in herself through her journey of gaining a better relationship with food & herself. After meeting with many dietitians and therapists she now recognizes her body and life as a gift. She loves being active and is a big advocate for body positivity and self-love!
